VOICES OF FIRE is a music competition and documentary series that follows a community choir in Hampton Roads, Virginia, as they search for extraordinary local talent to create a world-class gospel choir. Guided by Bishop Ezekiel Williams and his nephew, global superstar Pharrell Williams, the series captures the emotional auditions, personal journeys, and powerful performances that bring together singers from diverse backgrounds by a shared passion for music.
As Story Producer, Jose helped shape the series narrative by combing through hundreds of hours of audition and rehearsal footage to identify the most compelling performances, character moments, and emotional story arcs. He collaborated closely with producers and editors to craft story-driven sequences that highlighted each singer's personal journey, while helping build the larger narrative of the choir's formation.
